Sure, it’s still over a month away, but trust us—Chinese New Year (CNY) sneaks up faster than a dumpling disappearing at a family dinner.
As we slither into the Year of the Snake, it’s time to gear up for the annual logistics maze that is CNY.
After years in this industry, we’ve heard it all:
“Ship it today, and it'll make the next vessel.”
“Don’t worry, there’s plenty of time.”
Spoiler alert: there’s not plenty of time.
What to expect (and prepare for):
Missed Guarantees: Those “next vessel” promises? Yeah, they have a habit of slipping through the cracks.
CNY Chaos: Traffic jams? Check. Warehouse congestion? Double-check. And let’s not forget our beloved truck drivers clocking out early to enjoy well-deserved family time.
TranBay's pro-tops for a smooth sail:
Be Punctual: Get your cargo to TranBay warehouses in China by January 20th—delays will love you if you don’t.
Adjust Expectations: Plan ETDs around January 22nd, but stay flexible—postponements to February 6th are in the cards.
Act Early: Coordinate with manufacturers now to avoid the last-minute CNY scramble.
Holiday Schedule
Office closures:
From January 27th to February 9th, our offices in Changsha, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong will take a breather. But don’t worry—your sales managers will still respond from home.
Warehouse operations:
From January 28th to February 4th, our warehouses will pause cargo intake. Need exceptions? Chat with your sales manager, and we’ll sort out a plan for storage or shipment.
Remember, the earlier you prep, the smoother your CNY will go. Let’s tackle this festive frenzy together!
This is the last one.
