The answer is yes. You may say "that I have my own trucking company. My trucking company can go to the port to pick up the goods from the port, and I have my own customs broker. Why do I need a DDP & D2D service?"
1. The vast majority of e-commerce sellers are unable to purchase a complete container of inventory, which may only be dozens or even a few CTNs. And D2D & DDP & LCL services will become gospel for small sellers.
2. The price is completely different when the seller places an order directly with the truck company and when the freight forwarder places an order with the truck company. Most door-to-door freight forwarding companies have more than a dozen stable truck company resources. The order volume of dozens of containers every month gives freight forwarding companies an extraordinary say in truck companies. Trucking companies are more willing to provide low prices to maintain long-term large customers (freight forwarders).
3. The freight forwarder will make a more reasonable declaration of the value of the goods. In D2D & DDP & LCL services, customs clearance is completed by the freight forwarder. The service of DDP can only be door-to-door service, and can only be completed by the importer and Bond of the freight forwarder. Freight forwarders have been importing goods for a long time and are familiar with the HS code of each product. They can reduce the declared value of goods more reasonably within the legal scope and avoid high duty. If the final buyer determines the value of the goods for customs clearance, his customs broker may not provide professional customs clearance advice or make every effort to save the buyer money. But if the freight forwarder performs customs clearance, the buyer only needs to negotiate the final all-inclusive price with the freight forwarder, and the freight forwarder will bear all customs clearance risks.
4. Procurement transactions become more secure. Because it is door-to-door transportation, the ownership of the container belongs to the freight forwarder from the beginning. The freight forwarder is hired by the final buyer, which means that the ownership of the goods belongs to the seller from the moment the goods leave the factory.
5. Avoid bundling from suppliers. Some suppliers have provided DDP services + product sales from the beginning. They have evenly divided the freight costs into the unit price of the products, making the freight costs and product costs opaque. The most cost-saving way is definitely to separate production and transportation, and buyers can negotiate on each link. Such procurement costs will be more transparent. Transparency = There is no hiding place for unreasonable profiteering.
Yes, we offer 24/7 live support, so no matter what time it is—even in the middle of the night in China—we’ve got someone on duty ready to help. Whether you need a quote, want to track your shipment, or even need to escalate an issue with one of our sales reps, just give us a call on our international hotline: +8615377327800, or shoot us an email at info@tranbay.cn. We guarantee a response within 2 hours. Trust me, a responsible freight forwarder should be doing this, and we’re proud to be one of them.

#4. Detailed destination including the country and postcode.
#5. Expected shipping options and the estimated time of arrival for the goods to reach their destination after leaving the factory.

In most cases, if the volumetric weight of your cargo is greater than the gross weight, we will charge you by CBM. If your gross weight is greater than the volumetric weight, we will charge you by KG.
Well, we have Container Freight Stations (CFS) at major ports in the US, including Los Angeles, Long Beach, Chicago, Savannah, New York, and Houston. Trust me, your goods will just be one of many heading to well-known fulfillment centers. Take FTW1 as an example: when the container is loaded at our warehouse in China, only goods destined for FTW1 will be placed inside.
Once the container leaves China, clears customs, and arrives in the US, the entire container will go directly to FTW1 without needing to be offloaded and sorted at another warehouse. This process is faster and more cost-effective.
Goods heading to FTW1 will be offloaded at the Houston port, while goods destined for CLT2 will come in through the Savannah port. The goods arrive at the nearest fulfillment center port, which is cheaper because ocean freight is always more affordable than land transportation.
No, we don't offer port-to-port services. We only provide port-to-door or door-to-door services. Port-to-port pricing is very transparent, and the profit margins are slim for that service. Plus, if the coordination for container pickup at the destination country isn't smooth, it can lead to containers being unclaimed, racking up extra costs. So, overall, if you choose our services, you can skip our customs broker or have your factory delivers the goods to the port in China, but we can’ t offer just the ocean freight on its own. Our service must include both the main transport leg and the final delivery.
